About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate registered nurse to provide one-on-one pediatric home care for a 1-year-old client in Stenton, Philadelphia. The client has congenital ventriculomegaly, is tracheostomy- and ventilator-dependent, uses an HME during the day, receives overnight ventilator support, and receives feedings through a G-tube. Care includes providing attentive clinical support as well as age-appropriate comfort and companionship. Pediatric or ventilator experience is not required; BAYADA provides hands-on paid training and shadowing. The nurse travels to one client’s home, follows and documents doctors’ orders, performs assessments, monitors the client’s condition, and documents observations, interventions, and evaluations. Nurses are empowered to use their skills autonomously in the home, with around-the-clock clinical support available by phone. The specifically listed opening is a Saturday–Sunday night shift from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.; the posting also describes other possible shift lengths and scheduling options.
Requirements
- Hold a current, valid nursing license.
- Have graduated from a qualified nursing program.
- Maintain CPR certification in good standing.
Responsibilities
