About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) provides specialized, comprehensive nursing care to patients with bleeding and clotting disorders, including hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, and other coagulopathies. This role integrates clinical care, patient education, care coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration to promote optimal health outcomes across the lifespan. About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in the RN role on or after 1/1/2017
  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required

Nice To Haves

  • CRT-Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) - AHA American Heart Association 1 Year preferred
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 2 years preferred
  • 2 years of Pediatric experience preferred
