About The Position

100% FTE, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work in the Pediatrics Specialty Clinic at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. Make a difference in the life of a child as a pediatric specialty nurse at American Family Children’s Hospital. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiology team: Practice closely with the Pediatric Cardiology team to help care for patients with congenital heart defects. Help provide coverage for clinic visits by working directly with patients, coordinating care, and monitoring clinic flow. Work with the Pediatric Cardiology team to provide telephone triage. Participate in planning for program growth, develop patient education materials and develop quality improvement projects. The Pediatric Specialty Clinic Cardiology division continues to grow, providing new opportunities for career growth and development within our specialty.

Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing
  • 6 months of RN experience
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire
  • CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Relevant RN experience
  • Applicable clinical certification
