RN - Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology Clinic
About The Position
This is a full-time (100% FTE) Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology Clinic at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. The role involves working closely with the Pediatric Cardiology team to care for patients with congenital heart defects, providing coverage for clinic visits, coordinating care, monitoring clinic flow, and performing telephone triage. The position also includes participation in planning for program growth, developing patient education materials, and contributing to quality improvement projects. The clinic offers opportunities for career growth and development within the specialty.
Requirements
- Graduate of school of nursing Required
- 6 months of RN experience Required
- Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- Relevant RN experience Preferred
- Applicable clinical certification Preferred
Responsibilities
- Practice closely with the Pediatric Cardiology team to help care for patients with congenital heart defects.
- Help provide coverage for clinic visits by working directly with patients, coordinating care, and monitoring clinic flow.
- Work with the Pediatric Cardiology team to provide telephone triage.
- Participate in planning for program growth, develop patient education materials and develop quality improvement projects.
