About The Position
Adelphi is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to provide professional nursing services at a facility in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and provide care to adolescents in a structured environment.
Requirements
- Active North Carolina RN License
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in adolescent, pediatric, school health, public health, correctional/juvenile, or emergency nursing
- Ability to work independently as the sole on-site nurse during portions of the shift
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Teams or WebEx
- Must complete required on-site orientation prior to assignment
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to an adolescent population within RN scope of practice
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with direct care staff to ensure continuity of care
- Provide independent nursing coverage during assigned shifts
- Promote a safe and structured environment for youth
- Adhere to all facility security protocols, including controlled access and restrictions on personal items and cell phone use
- Participate in required trainings and meetings
- Follow facility guidelines regarding restricted items and secure access
- Perform other duties as assigned
