About The Position

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a dedicated and collaborative physician to join their exceptional team. This unique opportunity involves building and leading a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology practice within a dynamic academic environment, while contributing to a broad spectrum of clinical and educational initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, advancing multidisciplinary collaboration, and supporting the education and mentorship of the next generation of physicians. Clinical responsibilities include establishing an outpatient Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology practice, performing surgical procedures, and participating in the gynecologic call system, which includes coverage of adult gynecologic clinical and surgical emergencies and emergency room/inpatient consultations. The position also aims for participation in multi-disciplinary clinics such as gender and sexual development clinic and PCOS clinic. Academic responsibilities encompass teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and overseeing resident training in various settings. This position requires work to be completed onsite at a designated campus location and has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations, requiring an initial and recurring caregiver check. Applicants will be considered for various academic titles, including Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Assistant Professor CHS, Associate Professor CHS, and Professor CHS, with the title determined by the finalist's experience and qualifications. Requirements

• Completion of a US Obstetrics and Gynecology residency and fellowship Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology by the start date of the position
• Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges, by the start date of the position
• WI Medical license by the start date of the position
• Board-certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the start date of the position
• MD or DO, or equivalent required
• Pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years
• Ensure continuous eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without the need of an employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment

• For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CT or CHS track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS or CT track

Responsibilities

• Establish an outpatient Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology outpatient practice
• Perform surgical procedures as indicated
• Participate in the adult gynecology call pool including coverage of adult gynecologic clinical and surgical emergencies and coverage of emergency room and inpatient consultations as requested
• Participate in multi-disciplinary clinics such as gender and sexual development clinic and PCOS clinic
• Participate in teaching programs related to medical students, residents and fellows
• Oversee the training of residents in the operating room, clinic and inpatient unit
• Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health
• Work in a collegial relationship with other faculty members
