About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized care for adult oncology and trauma PCU patients in an 18-bed Progressive Care Unit. The role includes administering medications, managing patient care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. Nurses are expected to take part in hourly rounding and bedside shift reports.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience with respiratory equipment such as high-flow systems.
Nice To Haves
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, Heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix drips.
- Provide patient care for adult oncology and trauma patients in the PCU.
- Titrate Insulin and Cardizem drips as needed.
- Float to other Med/Surg and PCU units as needed while maintaining level of care.
- Take part in hourly rounding and bedside shift reports.
