About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Progressive Care Unit team. The RN uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly with colleagues, and are supported in their professional development. This position is 0.9 FTE, with day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts and alternating weekends. Candidates must have at least two recent years of PCU or Stepdown-level experience. The role is at Auburn Medical Center, a 195-bed hospital with behavioral health beds, a Family Birth Center, a Level II NICU, a Level III Trauma Center, a regional heart and vascular center, and advanced surgical services.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
At least two recent years of PCU or Stepdown-level experience.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
Certification in a specialty area.
One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process, in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
