About The Position

RN for the step-down unit (high acuity stepdown unit) / Progressive care.

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of step-down ICU/IMC/PCU experience.
• Must have 1 year of telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience.
• Must hold an AK RN license; temporary licensing not accepted.
• AK RN fingerprints must be completed during onboarding.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH-SS.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience with trach patients on continuous BiPap/long-term vent support.
• Experience with titratable drips and CIWA assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Floating to cardiac surgery IMC, med-tele, med-surg, ortho-neuro areas.
• Maintaining physical assessments, intake, and output every 4 hours.
• Conducting hourly safety rounds and providing patient positioning and ADLs every two hours as indicated.
• Ensuring bedside handoffs are mandatory.
