Requirements

  • Active Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in one or more of the following: Healthcare, Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, Clinical Care, Medical Records, Revenue Integrity, Data Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate patient safety and quality improvement teams focused on reducing preventable harm.
  • Educate and coach leaders, managers, and frontline staff on patient safety best practices.
  • Partner with clinical teams to implement evidence-based strategies that improve patient outcomes.
  • Review safety events and collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for learning and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage performance improvement projects, including project charters, timelines, PDSA cycles, and measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor quality indicators and collaborate with departments to improve performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a trusted resource and educator for healthcare professionals and medical staff.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary initiatives that reduce hospital-acquired conditions and improve patient care.
  • Coordinate OPPE and FPPE activities in accordance with organizational policies and accreditation standards.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical quality data, including mortality reviews, adverse drug reactions, hospital-acquired conditions, quality indicators, and other performance measures.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that help leaders and physicians make informed decisions.
  • Support ongoing data tracking and performance monitoring to drive measurable improvements.
  • Collaborate in the development and revision of clinical policies, competencies, and best practices.
  • Partner with the Epic team and clinical departments to promote documentation excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for quality and patient safety initiatives across the organization.
  • Assist with investigations and risk assessments through chart reviews, witness interviews, documentation review, and action planning.
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify trends and implement strategies that reduce organizational risk.
  • Help maintain compliance with standards established by CMS, The Joint Commission, the Louisiana Department of Health, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Stay current on evolving regulations and educate departments on new requirements.
  • Partner with hospital teams to ensure continuous survey readiness and support successful accreditation outcomes.
