About The Position
Located in the Freeman Heart & Vascular Institute CV Pre-Op/PACU is a fast-paced, specialized outpatient procedural unit providing exceptional perioperative and postoperative care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiovascular Operating Room, and other advanced cardiovascular procedures. Our team is committed to delivering outstanding patient-centered care through collaboration, clinical excellence, and compassion. Working alongside highly skilled Registered Nurses and Nurse Technicians, you'll have the opportunity to care for a diverse cardiovascular patient population while expanding your expertise in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Requirements
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the Nurse's state of residence.
- AHA ACLS within 180 days.
- AHA BLS for healthcare providers within 30 days.
- Cardiovascular Disease CEU hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 180 days.
- Perioperative RN competency day annually by transcript due date.
- Stroke CEU hours - 4 per year annually by transcript due date.
Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.
