About The Position

Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This position is for an RN in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Dallas, working Monday-Friday on 10-hour day shifts. The role involves prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for pediatric patients with various medical and surgical conditions, including those with developmental disabilities. The professional caregiver assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, providing quality care and assisting in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in the PACU.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Hold current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or is eligible for reciprocity and holds a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners to practice professional nursing
  • 1 or more years of experience as an RN
  • PACU nursing experience required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Must obtain PALS certification within 1 year of employment
  • Demonstrate advanced and mature critical thinking and assessment skills

Responsibilities

  • Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate the nursing care provided on a pediatric unit which cares for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age, and adolescents, with medical and surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions, as well as, children with developmental disabilities in PACU
  • Professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, for a designated time frame, and provides quality care to these patients in PACU
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in PACU
