About The Position

The RN provides professional nursing care under the ANA scope of practice and uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. Care is delivered under the direction of the Nurse Leader and in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures, incorporating patient- and family-centered care principles. The RN partners with patients and families, uses their input and goals to plan care, develops teaching strategies, and documents education and learning in the health record.

Blodgett Hospital’s post-anesthesia care unit has 36 beds. Nurses flex between the PACU and Surgery Center, which are on the same floor, based on patient volumes. The position is part time, with 20 scheduled hours per week, working a day shift from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on variable days, with on-call weekends.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of RN experience in the ED, ICU, or Progressive Care.
