If so, we invite you to consider joining our Urology Procedural Clinic team as an RN Outpatient Specialty Nurse! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to assist with a variety of innovative and specialized procedures, ensuring that each patient feels cared for, informed, and supported throughout their journey.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN License or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.
  • Current HCP CPR certification required.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ nursing experience preferred.
  • Current ACLS and PALS certification may be required in certain departments and successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

Responsibilities

  • Take patient vitals and administer medications with precision and care.
  • Assist surgeons during urology procedures like cystoscopy, vasectomy, and Botox injections.
  • Handle charting and documentation to ensure accurate patient records.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide compassionate care during post-procedure discharge.
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and maintain a safe, high-quality environment.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and provide valuable medication information.
  • Performs patient assessment.
  • Utilizes all available sources of information and incorporates the patient’s perception of illness.
  • Develops an individualized plan of care for each patient and updates the plan throughout the visit as appropriate.
  • Consistently identifies safety issues concerning the patient and staff during visit.
  • Independently reviews medication lists and provides ongoing medication or treatment education at the directive of physician or advanced practice provider.
  • Coordinates with healthcare team to provide continuity of care.
  • Participates in the development and delivery of education and competency validation of clinical staff.
  • Utilizes department Standard of Care and individualizes care provided on an on-going basis per department standards.
  • Administers medications per provider order.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism while undertaking and completing all department competencies.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
