We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Organ Procurement Coordinator to provide clinical management of organ donor patients across all age groups, honor donor wishes while guiding families through the donation process with empathy and respect, apply advanced critical care strategies to optimize organ function and maximize transplant opportunities, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams throughout the donor management process, coordinate with transplant centers and healthcare partners to ensure timely and effective organ recovery and placement, promote donation awareness and support a positive donation culture through education and outreach, and participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice development.

Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field Required
  • 6 months of clinical experience with surgical, critical care, emergency services or O.R. expertise Required
  • Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Wisconsin or may practice under a compact license per state regulations Upon Hire Required
  • 3 years of relevant Organ Procurement Coordinator Agency work Required
  • BLS certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • Critical care experience in pediatric, neurosurgery ICU, trauma or medical ICU, with leadership as charge nurse, or resource nurse and experience with caring for donor patients and families Preferred
  • Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) Preferred
