About The Position
The RN - OR provides direct patient care in the operating room. The role requires completion of an accredited or approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours and the ability to use evidence and analytical skills in nursing practice. The position is scheduled for day shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., four shifts per week, with 10 hours per shift. On-call work is required as needed. Weekend work is required at least every other weekend, along with at least two major and two minor holidays. The assignment starts November 9, 2026, and lasts 13 weeks.
Requirements
- Current RN single-state or RN multi-state compact license.
- BLS certification, or an accepted American Red Cross BLS or BLS Instructor certification.
- Completion of an accredited or approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours.
- Required experience with direct patient care.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic computer skills and ability to optimize technology use in support of clinical care.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Strong critical-thinking skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing; an associate degree in nursing or a nursing diploma is the stated minimum education.
