About The Position

Wendell Foster is interested in hiring an energetic RN or LPN (Night Shift WEEKEND OPTION) for our Intermediate Care Facility to join the team of #DifferenceMakers!

Requirements

  • Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Possession of valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Currently possess or able to complete first aid and CPR certification (training provided)
  • Communicate well with others including staff and our individuals
  • Ability to work under supervision and to supervise as needed in areas relating directly to nursing care.

Nice To Haves

  • Current license as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Responsibilities

  • Performs nursing procedures within legal scope of practice and individual training and skill level per physician’s order and facility protocol including, but not limited to: Oral/tracheotomy suctioning and care, G-tube care, Urinary catheterizations, Injections, Administration of oral and rectal medications.
  • Keeps the interdisciplinary team and guardians/family informed of pertinent health information and significant changes in each person’s health conditions in cooperation with the Clinical Manager.
  • Makes rounds in assigned cottage(s) to visit each person and assess health status at the beginning of each shift and as needed.
  • Administers medications per the Medication administration policies. Initial medications/treatments on M.A.R./T.A.R.
