About The Position

The Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality nursing care to residents in a senior care setting in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state and federal regulations. This role includes assessing resident conditions, administering medications and treatments, monitoring for changes in status, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, and supporting resident comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The Nurse also plays a key role in resident and family communication, documentation, supervision of nursing assistants, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with a current license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Organized with the ability to maintain accuracy.
  • Possess computer experience and a willingness to learn new software.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written assignments using the English language.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with nursing assistants and nursing administration to ensure established standards of care are met.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service using a friendly, outgoing, and customer-first approach.
  • A pleasant personality with the ability to work closely with staff, residents, and family members in a calm, cooperative, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Proven ability to always maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to perform the duties listed in the job description with autonomy.
  • Must be flexible and accommodate changing priorities.
  • Must meet the physical demands of the job as described in the job description.
  • Must meet all pre-hire screening requirements for employment.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen as part of the pre-employment screening process.
