RN or LPN Surgical Inpatient FT Nights
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse for the Surgical Inpatient Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time position working 36 hours weekly on the night shift (7pm-7am). This role is benefit-eligible and may include a sign-on bonus for experienced external candidates. The RN or LPN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet patient, family, and co-worker needs. The Surgical Inpatient Services (SIPS) unit is a 32-bed unit specializing in post-surgical patients, including total joint replacements, bariatric surgeries, and higher acuity cases like post-surgical vascular and thoracic patients. The unit also accepts post-operative admissions from the emergency room or physician's offices. SIPS is suitable for new graduate LPNs and RNs seeking exposure to a wide variety of patients.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN or LPN license
- BLS for Healthcare provider required
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
