About The Position

Corewell Health is offering a sign on incentive of up to $7,500 for this opportunity! This is a part-time, night shift position with 24 scheduled hours per week, working every third weekend. The Rehab and Nursing Center-Kentridge is located on a 10-acre campus with indoor and outdoor spaces designed to improve independence, strength, and confidence. Patient rooms are mostly private with attached bathrooms and showers, televisions with cable, phones, and large windows. Each unit features a large, accessible living and dining space with menu-based meal service.

Requirements

• Associates in Nursing
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) or MI Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
• Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health.
• Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Under the direction of the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Informs patients and families about treatments and medications being received, equipment being utilized, and other related activities as appropriate, in coordination with the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician.
• Documents care provided via computer/written patient record in a manner consistent with guidelines.
