About The Position

Provides direct nursing care for patients by working cooperatively with patients, family members, and all patient care team members. Checks and records patients’ vitals before, during, and after dialysis treatment. Operates dialysis machines efficiently in accordance with policy and procedure guidelines. Ensures that hemodialysis treatments are administered to patients correctly. Monitors patients during dialysis treatment to identify any adverse reactions. Prepares and updates nursing care plans. Promptly notifies the Charge Nurse of any problems that occur during dialysis treatments.

Requirements

• RN or LPN license
• Ability to work cooperatively with patients, family members, and patient care team members
• Proficiency in operating dialysis machines
• Knowledge of hemodialysis administration
• Ability to monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Skill in preparing and updating nursing care plans
• Effective communication skills to notify Charge Nurse of problems
