About The Position

This travel Registered Nurse position is for operating room work at a short-term acute care facility in Jersey City, New Jersey. The nurse serves as a scrub or circulating nurse during procedures, anticipates the needs of the surgeon and surgical team, and transfers patients to recovery with appropriate handoff communication. The role requires recent operating room experience, an active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment, and current ACLS and BLS certifications from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor. Client-specific certifications, such as CNOR, may also be required.

Requirements

• One year of recent operating room experience.
• Current, valid, and active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Current, valid, and active driver's license.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor; AHA certification is preferred and required by some clients.
• Excellent critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in high-stress environments and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Proficiency in sterile technique and operating room protocols.
• Strong documentation skills using an electronic medical record.

Nice To Haves

• AHA ACLS and BLS certification is preferred.
• CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) certification may be required by the client.
