About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgery Department at our Bucyrus location. This role provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations, addressing the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. The RN will communicate continuously with surgeon and anesthesia staff about patient condition, and will be responsible for assessing and maintaining adequate ventilation, hemostasis, and circulation; assessing level of consciousness, providing pain management, and ensuring the safety of the patient until transfer to another unit. The position also involves participation in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
Current BLS certification.
ACLS certification or obtained within 3 months of hire.
PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operating room.
