Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • Two years experience in a hospital obstetrics setting preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
  • Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire for experienced labor nurses or within the start of labor and delivery orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients within OMC’s OB unit.
  • Promotes continuity of care for patients on the unit providing direct patient care as well as supervising the care given by support staff.
  • Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and Olympic Medical Center.
  • Cares for patients under a variety of circumstances including crisis or emergency situations.
