Requirements
- Associate’s degree required.
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Two years experience in a hospital obstetrics setting preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
- Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire for experienced labor nurses or within the start of labor and delivery orientation.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients within OMC’s OB unit.
- Promotes continuity of care for patients on the unit providing direct patient care as well as supervising the care given by support staff.
- Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and Olympic Medical Center.
- Cares for patients under a variety of circumstances including crisis or emergency situations.
