This role is for an RN in the Observation Unit, working 24 hours per week on nights, from 7pm to 7am, 2-3 nights a week. A $5,000 Sign On Bonus is offered. The salary range is $38.71 - $67.87, with pay based on experience. The nurse is accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients, making clinical decisions regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

Requirements

Associate's Degree Nursing required
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required
Clinical nursing experience 1 or more years required
Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
Neonatal Resuscitation Certification [NRP] - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects.
Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
