This is a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position in Observation/Neuro, working 36 hours per week. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The position requires continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, with the ability to administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential, as is fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The role also emphasizes professional development, adherence to ethical standards, and accurate EHR documentation. RNs may be required to float to other units to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate age-specific competency. The position is based in AMC Sheboygan County - Med Surg: IU Garden.
