This is a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Observation/Neuro unit. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The position also emphasizes upholding a culture of safety, continuously evaluating outcomes, and administering medications and treatments safely. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are crucial for fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The role requires pursuing professional development, maintaining certifications, and adhering to ethical decision-making. The RN will also be responsible for accurate EHR documentation and may be required to float to other units to meet patient care needs. A strong understanding of age-specific care is essential.
