The Big Rapids Family Birthing Center offers unique, family-centered maternity care with 11 private, cozy, homelike patient rooms. The center is committed to providing professional excellence and the best possible experience. It is equipped with advanced technology and specially trained staff to stabilize and care for babies needing specialized care. The hospital is evolving to better meet the needs of individuals and families in Mecosta County.
Requirements
- Associates in Nursing Required
- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months
- CRT-Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification – 2yrs required
Responsibilities
- Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
- Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
- Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
