About The Position

Elderwood at Wheatfield is seeking a kind, collaborative, and dedicated RN - Nursing Supervisor to provide personal and compassionate care in a supportive team environment. This role offers opportunity, stability, and growth for both new and experienced nurses. The position involves supervising nursing care services and staff, promoting facility safety, and potentially serving as the Infection Preventionist Nurse. The supervisor will assume responsibility for nursing services in the absence of higher-level nursing management.

Requirements

• Possession of a state license in applicable state you are performing work and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
• At least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role
• Current BLS/CPR
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Nice To Haves

• Interest or experience in geriatrics
• Experience with dementia population desirable

Responsibilities

• Responsible for responding immediately to residents’ requests.
• Supervise nursing care services and staff on all units while on duty.
• Actively promotes facility safety programs.
• May assume responsibility as the Infection Preventionist Nurse.
• Assume responsibility for nursing services in the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing Services and/or Director of Nursing Services.
