The DPH Intermediate Critical Care / Multisystem Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 33-bed unit adjacent to the ICU, serving as a transitional care step-down unit for patients who no longer require intensive care but need close monitoring. The unit caters to adult patients recovering from post-cath procedures, those needing advanced monitoring, specialized medication drips (Nicardipine, Insulin, Nitroglycerin), and/or ventilator support, and individuals with potential life-threatening conditions who are stable enough to leave the ICU.
