About The Position

Palomar Health in Escondido, CA is seeking an RN Nurse Manager to provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit. This role involves consulting with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies, ensuring nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures, and participating in incident investigations. The Nurse Manager will also ensure appropriate staffing levels, implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice, and serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a busy, community-focused healthcare setting, working as part of interdisciplinary care teams and supporting patients through a wide range of clinical needs.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BCLS required.
• Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure while keeping calm and maintaining customer focus.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Minimum two years of rehab nursing experience.
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
• Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
• Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits
