As the Nurse Manager of Surgical Services, you'll oversee the daily operations of our Operating Room while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional patient care. You'll partner closely with physicians, hospital leadership, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure every patient receives safe, high-quality surgical care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care Operating Room RN experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care OR leadership experience within the last year as a: Charge Nurse (full-time), OR Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree required)
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • APRN accepted if applicable
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire
  • PALS required within 6 months of hire
  • Candidates must live within approximately 45 minutes of the facility or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary perioperative team, including RNs, Surgical Technologists, First Assists, schedulers, OR aides, anesthesia staff, and Sterile Processing professionals.
  • Oversee daily operations for the Operating Room, CVOR, anesthesia, and Sterile Processing departments.
  • Build a positive, collaborative culture where staff feel supported, engaged, and empowered to grow.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and department resources to ensure efficient operations and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Partner with physicians and hospital leadership to improve quality, patient satisfaction, and operational performance.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, and employee development.
  • Champion quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and patient safety while ensuring adherence to Joint Commission standards and hospital policies.
  • Oversee department budgets, equipment, and supply utilization while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
