This is a leadership role for a preferred surgical unit delivering high-acuity Med-Surg/Telemetry care. The position involves managing complex cases, including advanced post-op and cardiac drips. The unit is described as experienced, close-knit, with low turnover and strong collaboration. It is a high-performing, stable unit with a strong foundation for leadership growth. Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
- A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
- Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
Responsibilities
- Assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions within the Med/Surg - Telemetry departments.
- Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care.
- Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations.
- Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time responsibilities for the unit.
- Communicates effectively with staff, physicians and administration both written and verbally.
