About The Position

This is a full-time, exempt position for a Registered Nurse Manager of Med/Surg - Telemetry. The role is responsible for leading care delivery for a high-acuity surgical and cardiac patient population, ensuring safety, quality, and clinical excellence. The manager will set the tone for a strong, experienced team, supporting engagement, retention, and day-to-day performance. This role drives operational success across staffing, patient flow, and unit outcomes in a high-volume Med-Surg/Telemetry environment and serves as a key clinical leader shaping practice standards and supporting ongoing growth of a high-performing unit.

Requirements

• Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
• Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions within the Med/Surg - Telemetry departments.
• Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care.
• Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations.
• Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time responsibilities for the unit.
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians and administration both written and verbally.
