About The Position

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse to provide neonatal care within a patient-centered care model. The RN makes clinical assessments and manages treatment autonomously while working collaboratively with a supportive team. Nurses are empowered to influence patient care through relationships with their managers, hospital councils, and nursing initiatives. The role includes providing age-specific care that addresses the physiological and nutritional needs of neonates, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to plan care, facilitating infant-family bonding, and educating and reassuring parents. The position is described as nights.

Requirements

Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license; compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days after relocation.
BLS-AHA Provider-issued card within 30 days of starting.
At least 1 year of RN experience.
BLS and NRP-Neonatal (AHA Healthcare Provider).

Nice To Haves

1 year of RN experience in NICU.
BSN.

Responsibilities

Provide age-specific care addressing the physiological and nutritional needs of neonates.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in planning patient care.
Facilitate bonding between infants and families, including Kangaroo Care and promoting the Family Care model.
Reassure parents by providing education and explanations in easily understood terms to reduce stress.
Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
Make clinical assessments and manage treatment autonomously.
