About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of recent Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience for a position in Burlington, VT. This role is at a teaching facility and requires experience in a Level III NICU. Candidates without previous travel nursing experience must have NICU experience in a large 500+ bed teaching facility. Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable. The position requires flexibility to work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, with every-other-weekend availability. You must be comfortable floating to various units, including newborn NICU, Mother/Baby, nursery, newborn rounds, deliveries, and Peds/PICU with appropriate neonatal assignments. Complete work history, including facility type, bed count, EMR, and NICU level, is required, and all employment gaps over 90 days must be explained. Reliable transportation is strongly recommended.

Requirements

  • Active Vermont RN license or applicable Compact RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience.
  • Level III NICU experience (must be clearly listed in work history).
  • Teaching facility experience.
  • Epic experience within the past 2 years (REQUIRED and non-negotiable).
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Current NRP certification.
  • Complete work history required, including facility type, bed count, EMR, and NICU level.
  • Explanation for all employment gaps over 90 days.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous travel nursing experience.
  • NICU experience in a large 500+ bed teaching facility (if no travel experience).
  • STABLE certification.
  • RNC-NIC certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the NICU setting.
  • Float to other units as needed, including newborn NICU, Mother/Baby, nursery, newborn rounds, deliveries, and Peds/PICU with appropriate neonatal assignments.
  • Work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts.
  • Be available to work every other weekend, with potential for additional weekends based on staffing needs.
  • Complete and submit all required work history documentation, including facility type, bed count, EMR, and NICU level.
  • Explain any employment gaps over 90 days.
