About The Position

Sentara Healthcare's New Graduate RN Fast-Track application allows new nurses to apply once and be connected with opportunities across their entire healthcare system. The program aims to be the healthcare of choice in the communities it serves by hiring passionate, patient-focused nurses and investing in their success from day one. The Sentara Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive 6-month program designed to help nurses transition from students to professionals. It offers automatic enrollment for all newly hired graduate nurses at all 12 Sentara hospitals, providing hands-on training, mentorship, and professional development. Specialized tracks are available in Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Women's Health.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Current Virginia RN license or eligible to obtain one
  • Graduating soon or graduated with less than one year of RN practice

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the 6-month Nurse Residency Program.
  • Engage in hands-on training, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Complete specialized tracks in areas such as Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Women's Health.
