About The Position
An opportunity to work on a specialized neurological unit caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, and other acute and complex neurological conditions. The unit is the region’s only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, where a specialty team evaluates, diagnoses, and treats seizures using continuous video EEG technology. The nurse works closely with an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Telemetry experience required.
- New York RN license required.
- Two years of experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke and epilepsy.
- Use nursing and critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Work with a specialty team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat seizures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary care team.
