About The Position
Our Neuro Step Down unit is hiring an RN looking to specialize in Neuro. We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced RNs! New graduates have the opportunity to participate in our mandatory residency program, which includes monthly seminars led by the Nurse Residency Team, peer-to-peer debriefing sessions, support groups/mentoring, and rounding. The Nurse Residency Program is an added benefit designed to support your transition into practice. How you grow, learn and thrive matters here. The Neuro Step Down Unit is hiring a nurse ( RN ) to join their dedicated team of high-performing nurses that provide exceptional patient care within their 29-bed unit. This unit is highly specialized neurology Step-Down, dedicated to the special care required for patients who are recovering from neurosurgery , or neurological injuries – to include psych patients. Joint Commission-Accredited Primary Step-Down.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing or above required.
- Registered Nurse-NM State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.

- Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care within their 29-bed unit.
- Provide specialized neurology Step-Down care for patients recovering from neurosurgery or neurological injuries, including psych patients.
