About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff RN to join its hospital-based team at Tacoma General Hospital. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making and work in an environment focused on communication, professional development, support, and the future of nursing. This is a per-diem position with variable shifts and 12-hour schedules. Tacoma General Hospital is a 367-bed regional medical center in Tacoma, Washington, providing emergency, trauma, cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, robotic surgery, cancer, birth, and neonatal care. Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other health care team members.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
