About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team at Tacoma General Hospital. The RN will apply specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care using a multidisciplinary approach. MultiCare describes its nursing environment as one that supports nurses’ participation in clinical decision-making, open communication, professional development, and collaboration. The position is per diem, with variable shifts and 12-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
