About The Position

MU Health Care is looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual who thrives in high-acuity environments and is passionate about caring for our most vulnerable patients: critically ill and premature newborns to join our nursing team in the Neonatal ICU (NICU). In our NICU, every second counts—and every action changes a life trajectory. It is a 64-bed unit with all private rooms. We utilize a family-centered care model where parents are treated as partners and use advanced technology and innovation, working with cutting-edge neonatal equipment including high-frequency ventilation, therapeutic hypothermia, and continuous neuromonitoring. Other things you can expect: Holistic Development Focus: We don’t just stabilize—we support long-term neurodevelopment and bonding. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner daily with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, nutritionists, and developmental specialists. Growth Pathways: Structured NICU competency progression, certification support (RNC-NIC), and leadership opportunities.
