About The Position

The MS/Tele FLOAT RN provides high-quality patient care across multiple units, including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatrics . The nurse must be adaptable, experienced, and comfortable floating to meet staffing needs, with a focus on coronary care and acute patient management.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 completed successful travel assignment
• Previous hospital RN experience preferred
• Coronary care experience required
• Must be comfortable floating across multiple units
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Active New York RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate effectively
• Ability to assess and provide safe patient care across multiple units

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across various units, including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units
• Deliver patient-centered care, including assessment, teaching, and spiritual support
• Recognize and address safety issues; use proper patient lifting techniques
• Function well under stress, using creative problem-solving and critical thinking
• Delegate tasks and assume leadership roles as required, including charge nurse duties
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using MEDITECH EMR
