About The Position
The Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN (Float) is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care across med-surg and telemetry units in an acute care setting. This role includes patient care, cardiac monitoring, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams while floating between facilities as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience
- Strong IV therapy and phlebotomy experience
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- BLS Certification
- Completion of IV Medication Module
- Basic Arrhythmia competency
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
Nice To Haves
- Travel RN experience
- Experience in telemetry and cardiac care
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process
- Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy
- Respond to emergencies and support post-operative care
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with care teams
- Ensure compliance with patient safety and hospital standards
