Fairview Ridges Hospital is seeking an RN for our Medical Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). This is a 39-bed unit with telemetry and a telemetry hub. The unit cares for a variety of patients including those with cardiac needs, telemetry needs, behavioral distress, complex medical needs, and intermediate ICU stepdown patients. This position is for 48 hours per two weeks, with 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7:30am) and requires working every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). The RN reports to the Nurse Manager or Patient Care Supervisor. The nursing care team includes RNs, an advanced practice nurse, a clinical education specialist, a nursing assistant or nursing station technician, and a telemetry tech on all shifts. The typical patient load is 4 on days/evenings and 6 on nights, with support from a Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Technician. IMC ratios are 3 or 4-1. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s) in accordance with policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines, and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with healthcare team members and delegates responsibilities appropriately.
