The 5th Floor Medical Surgical department is a 36-bed unit specializing in neuro, trauma, and ortho care, serving as the main service line for patients requiring Level 1 Trauma Center care. Patients are typically 16 years and above, with occasional overflow of general med/surg patients. The department fosters a strong culture of teamwork, high-quality, safe patient care, and positive patient interactions, making it a good starting point for those interested in Critical Care.
