About The Position

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center that provides a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region. The hospital features a state-of-the-art medical campus and is home to Flight For Life® Colorado. It is equipped with four trauma rooms, including the T-10 room, which has a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, enabling life-saving care for severely ill and injured patients. The hospital has achieved Magnet designation and received numerous awards and accreditations from organizations such as the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, The Joint Commission, Emergency Nurses Association, NAPBC, and American College of Radiology. St. Anthony Hospital combines a heritage of expert care with the latest in technology and innovation, offering opportunities to work in fast-paced environments specializing in trauma, cardiology, stroke, neurosciences, breast imaging, cancer/oncology care, and surgery. The 5th Floor Medical Surgical department is a 36-bed unit specializing in neuro, trauma, and ortho care, serving as the main service line for patients requiring Level 1 Trauma Center care. Patients are typically 16 years and above, with occasional overflow of general med/surg patients. The department fosters a strong culture of teamwork, high-quality, safe patient care, and positive patient interactions, making it a good starting point for those interested in Critical Care.

Requirements

• At least six months of direct RN experience
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
• One year experience preferred
• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Responsibilities

• Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the health care team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Benefits

• $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience
• Relocation assistance up to $10,000 for those living greater than 50 miles from the facility
• $5.75/hr differential for Night Shift RN positions from 11pm to 7am
