About The Position

The Registered Nurse position provides quality, professional, general nursing care to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating patient care for a group of patients in the department. Must adapt appropriately to changes in daily assignments, patient status changes, and unit needs. This position requires providing care to Med/Surg and EICU patients.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in nursing required.
• Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire.
• ACLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use and perpetuate the nursing process throughout the patient's hospitalization.
• Ensure that patient care is individualized to meet the patient’s unique needs and situation.
• Initiate, develop and document patient plan of care based on patient assessment and medical diagnosis.
• Respond to life-threatening situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
