The Enterprise Central Resource Pool (CRP) Registered Nurse (RN) is a specialized role in which qualified registered nursing staff are assigned to units across the enterprise based on their clinical expertise, skill, and organization/unit need. The role is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. This includes collaborating with other inter-professional colleagues, such as physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, utilizing appropriate age and population-specific standards. They care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Responsibilities include planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions, all while functioning within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure. The Sanford Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct. Scheduled work hours will vary dependent on patient and unit needs, which may include overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
