About The Position

Hiring for RN Med Surg in Mattoon, IL. This is for a 4 West 21 bed unit, a general medical observation unit. Patients may have conditions such as COPD, PNA, infections, and UTIs. The nurse should be comfortable with Bi-Pap and high flow O2. This is a 13-week assignment for 12-hour night shifts, with an expected 36 hours per week. A cover sheet is required. No locals will be considered; candidates must have a verifiable permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg specialty.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required.
• Must have a verifiable permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on a 21-bed general medical observation unit.
• Care for patients with conditions including COPD, PNA, infections, and UTIs.
• Administer Bi-Pap and high flow O2.
• Work 12-hour night shifts.
• Work every other weekend.
• Meet the requirement of having a verifiable permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility.
