As the newest Cleveland Clinic Bariatric Center of Excellence, in partnership with South Pointe, our team will provide specialized, high-quality care for bariatric patients while continuing to care for a diverse surgical population, including orthopedic, vascular, gynecologic, urologic, plastic and reconstructive, wound care, and general surgery patients such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, exploratory laparotomies, and many others. Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns
Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol
